Responsabilities In the scope of CLSTPS and Crest applications: plan and prepare deployment activities validate in testing environment and perform installations/upgrades in Production environment. Maintain records of deployment activities and identified problems. Produce or review operational documents and installation guides. perform problem management activities, handling OS and application issues identify and track corrective measures and procedures/processes improvements. Interact with multiple teams (network, dba, monitoring and/or applications development) in order to restore availability of services and identify root cause of problems Validate newly created cases and change requests for accuracy and completeness and follow-up with other teams when required Perform systems administration activities including security checks make sure operational procedures are accurate and up to date. may automate tasks to improve the monitoring of applications and reduce repetitive activities may automate tasks to facilitate the delivery of applications to the Production environment may be involved in qualification or development (scripting) activities Acquire, develop and maintain technical and product knowledge in pursuance of the above objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
- Some experience in a Technical Support environment including software debugging and problem analysis in supporting mission critical applications and services
- Experience in administration/deployment of High Available mission critical applications
- Hands-on experience with automated deployment tools such as Ansible and tracking tools such as Jira, ServiceNow
- Professional Knowledge and Skills:
- good problem-solving skills
- Disciplined and process-oriented attitude with a focus on security.
- Analytical and methodical in problem investigations
- Ability to work under pressure and part of a multicultural team
- Flexible to work few weekends on demand basis for deployment activities
- Good communication skills, verbal and written English
- Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- Practical experience of Linux OS (RedHat Enterprise Linux) and AAP (Ansible Automation Platform)
- Practical experience of scripting languages: ksh, bash, Perl
- Practical experience of databases (Oracle) and db queries (sqlplus)
- network protocols (TCP/IP) and infrastructure (Firewall, load-balancer) knowledge
- The following would be an asset:
- CloudBees CD/RO (Continuous Delivery/Release Orchestration)
- software development tools and CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible)
- Knowledge and practical experience on Cloud (AWS) and related deployment tools
