Responsibilities

  • You will lead AirTrunk's Government engagement strategy in India to ensure we proactively develop and maintain positive relationships with key external stakholders and that our reputation as a trusted industry leader and investor in the country continues to strengthen and grow.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop policy positions aligned to AirTrunk's strategic objectives
  • Advocate to government and policy makers AirTrunk's position which is well informed by research and analysis of policy issues relevant to the business.
  • Attend relevant industry events and meetings and represent the business with external industry bodies including participating in relevant working groups and committees.
  • Represent AirTrunk in industry associations and third party alliances to advance AirTrunk's policy positions and reputation within Malaysia.
  • Manage local Government Relations consultants and other vendors to support AirTrunk's policy advocacy.
  • Provide local knowledge and insight to the broader Corporate Affairs function, Energy and wider AirTrunk teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in a policy, political or government role. This might include in the private sector or in a parliamentary or ministerial office, or Government department.
  • Strong understanding of internal workings of government, including political or parliamentary processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams.
  • A high degree of autonomy, drive and resilience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and capacity to prioritise conflicting tasks.
