About the role

DPAC seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Manager of Compliance and HR to lead and strengthen the school's compliance infrastructure while supporting key human resources functions. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, operations, and people strategy, ensuring that DPAC meets all federal, state, and local requirements while building strong internal systems. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, the Manager of Compliance and HR will also manage all aspects of non-competitive grant administration for DPAC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all federal, state, and authorizer compliance reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with evolving requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of data and outcomes to state authorizers, funders, and other external partners, as determined by the Superintendent.
  • Own and oversee all non-competitive grant administration, including application development, budget alignment, compliance monitoring, and reporting.
  • Manage Title I programming, including applications, amendments, family engagement, and School Performance Plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Title I, II, III, IV, and IDEA requirements, including required meetings, documentation, and payroll certifications.
  • Manage all grant monitoring requirements and submissions across state, federal, and authorizer portals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with authorizers, state agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders.
  • Coordinate preparation for authorizer and state site visits.
  • Oversee required policy development, approval, and posting to ensure full regulatory compliance, including website compliance.
  • Manage state data reporting and Civil Rights Data Collection submissions in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Nevada Open Meeting Laws and manage Board-related compliance deliverables in partnership with the Director of Operations.
  • Build and document sustainable systems and workflows to ensure long-term compliance and accountability.
  • Develop training materials and provide guidance to staff on compliance-related topics (e.g., attendance, safety, data management, family engagement, and special populations).
  • Flag required actions and proactively monitor compliance risks.
  • Human Resources
  • Identify root causes and conduct relevant data analysis in order to propose both short-term and long-term interventions and solutions
  • Ensure people team policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly to all employees. Work with leaders to implement disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
  • Investigate and resolve complex or sensitive complaints, issues, and concerns in a responsive and fair manner. Fully document findings and recommendations.
  • Oversee all aspects of separations, manage unemployment insurance claims, and represent the organization at hearings. Provide guidance on routine employee relations issues.
  • Align HR strategies with organizational goals, develop a cohesive HR vision, and translate it into actionable plans for implementation, monitoring, and adjustment. Evaluate current HR performance by establishing and tracking metrics, analyzing data, and gathering employee feedback.
  • Lead the interactive process to respond to accommodation requests in compliance with the ADA. Serve as the primary contact for workers' compensation at assigned campuses.
