As a Senior PostgreSQL DBA DevOps Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring our database platforms are secure, reliable, scalable, and futureproof. Your & Your role As a Senior PostgreSQL DBA DevOps Engineer, you bring deep technical expertise and a proactive, solution oriented mindset. You will design, optimize, and maintain our PostgreSQL database landscape, and support development teams in delivering high quality, high performance applications. You combine hands-on database engineering with strategic thinking, helping us evolve our platform in a fast changing environment. Examples from Practice Conduct complex performance analysis and query optimization Set up and manage replication, partitioning, and clustering Implement and improve backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies Integrate PostgreSQL into CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, migrations, and validation Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and observability for database workloads Build Idempotent automation surrounding PostgreSQL like the delivery, second day operations or decommissioning process Create/maintain API's that can be used for second day operations Act as a mentor for less experienced colleagues and help raise the maturity of the team Facts & Figures Daily datasets delivered for liquidity and funding management for over 50% international colleagues. 9.5 million customers worldwide. You bring: 5+ years of hands on experience with PostgreSQL in large enterprise environments. Deep knowledge of core PostgreSQL features: indexing, query tuning, data modeling, replication, partitioning, and high availability architectures Strong SQL expertise, including advanced SQL constructs and query analysis Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
