About the role
Our client is a reputable main contractor undertaking a new large-scale mixed development project in Singapore. Job Responsibilities Uphold company's core values. Actively involved in tendering by working closely with COM department (when assigned by GM / COO) by giving input on construction method, sequence, temporary facilities, manpower, plants and machinery. Overall in charge of the project after securing the project. Plan construction method, sequence, temporary facilities, manpower, plants and machinery to formulate a Project Construction Methodology and present to Top Management for approval. Work with CTD to finalise the construction budget. Develop and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP). Ensure all works are carried out according to PQP. Ensure project team meet project KPIs. Setting up KPIs for project team members. Review subcontractors'/ suppliers' scope of work during contract negotiations. Prepare monthly progress report with the assistance from relevant staff / departments. Send out weekly progress update to Top Management. Monitor and control project's cost by taking proactive measures. Monitor project's progress and deliver project with expected WSHE and quality standard. To ensure WSHE standards are upheld on site at all time, excellent quality standard is achieved, the project is completed on time and within the approved construction budget. Ensure efficient use of resources. Formulate and implement value engineering and cost-saving proposals. To scrutinize during design development stage and review shop drawings to achieve higher buildability and workmanship standard. Approval of sub-contractors / suppliers progress claims. Authorisation of site purchase and rental (DOA). Liaise closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants and authorities for a smooth project execution. Maintain good working relationship with all parties. Maintain good communication with all other department and staff. Conduct / facilitate meeting with subcontractors, architects, consultants and authorities. Conduct joint site inspections with site team and subcontractors to improve work efficiency, quality and WSHE compliances and attest any weak work practices. Provide leadership to the project team. Lead and mentor the team by setting in place guidelines and procedures, providing advice and supervision. Conduct staff appraisals. Monitor staff performance regularly. Provide proper guidance and recommend training plan for all team members. Ensure staff wellbeing and monitor their welfare. Conduct site meetings regularly to brief and guide the whole project team. Maintain minutes of meeting. Ensuring proper records on site activities and events including substantiation for variation orders and / or Extension of Time claims and submissions. Formulate Project BIM Execution Plan with the assistance from the BIM personnel and ensure it is in line with the Corporate BIM Execution Plan. In addition to the abovementioned duties and responsibilities, any other assignments given occasionally by the immediate Superior. Job Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Diploma holders with relevant experience will also be considered. Strong familiarity with authority submissions and regulatory requirements. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
