About the role
In Schneider Electric, everything we do is geared towards advancing progress and sustainability for all-our colleagues, customers, partners, and the communities and societies we serve. Whether it's through our products, software, and services that propel the digital transformation of energy management and automation, or through our corporate citizenship and volunteer activities, we make a meaningful impact by empowering people and organizations to become more resilient, electric, and digital. Which is where you come in. Working at Schneider Electric means working toward a cleaner, better world. You're part of a global team built on inclusion, mastery, purpose, action, curiosity, and teamwork, turning sustainability ambitions into actions. The Role: East Asia Autonomous Planning BPO We are seeking a Manager in Autonomous Planning to drive the intelligent automation of our Supply Chain operations, focusing on Inventory Management and Replenishment. In this role, you will own the end-to-end design, deployment, and continuous optimisation of AI-driven planning systems that orchestrate data pipelines, workforce scheduling, and operational workflows - replacing or augmenting traditional manual planning processes. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders across the company to translate business requirements into scalable autonomous solutions, while governing data quality, model performance, and compliance standards. You will also lead the restructuring and transformation of existing processes. Special Focus: Autonomous Planning & AI As organisations increasingly rely on automated algorithms and autonomous systems (such as AI agents making supply chain or scheduling decisions), the BPO role has evolved into an essential control point: Algorithmic Oversight: Establish the guardrails, rules, and constraints that govern autonomous planning systems to prevent control failures or compliance breaches. Exception Handling: Design the workflow for what happens when an autonomous planning tool encounters a logical dead-end or error. Continuous Refinement: Continuously train and fine-tune AI planning logic by reviewing historical exceptions, shifting market constraints, and performance data. What will you do? Strategic Planning & Roadmap Define and execute the autonomous planning roadmap for Inventory and Replenishment operations, aligning with organisational strategy. Evaluate and recommend AI/ML platforms, data orchestration tools, and agentic planning frameworks suited to inventory and replenishment-scale environments. Lead business case development for automation investments, including ROI modelling and risk assessment. Autonomous Systems Development & Governance Oversee the design and deployment of autonomous planning agents for Inventory Management and Replenishment. Establish model governance frameworks including Automatic RCA, Auto Replenishment Execution, digital lock, and exception management. Manage data architecture decisions to ensure real-time data availability for autonomous decision-making pipelines. Operational Excellence & Analytics Act as project manager to lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and planning specialists; set performance goals, mentor talent, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Define and track KPIs for autonomous planning effectiveness - especially on driving cash efficiency in inventory management and cost reduction. Partner with user-facing teams to tailor autonomous planning outputs to contractual deliverables and client-specific reporting standards. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management Communicate planning model outputs and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders. Champion change management initiatives to drive adoption of autonomous planning systems across Inventory Management and Replenishment operations teams. Collaborate with IT, Compliance, and Legal to ensure autonomous systems meet data privacy (PDPA, GDPR) and audit requirements. What qualifications will make you successful? Experience: 10+ years in operations, process management, or transformation (with 5+ years in a senior/executive capacity). Experience: Proven track record in driving autonomous planning projects. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline. (MBA is highly preferred). Certifications: Lean Six Sigma, COPC (Customer Operations Performance Centre), or PMP. Deep Business Acumen: A solid understanding of the domain and a keen awareness of upstream and downstream impacts. Decision-Making Authority: The seniority to mandate changes, allocate resources, and push for operational excellence across diverse departments. Stakeholder Management: The ability to align different department managers, technical/IT teams, and end-users on process solutions. Strategic Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to look beyond immediate operational issues and connect day-to-day decisions to long-term business
