General Mechanic - Night Shift

Requirements

• 1-3 years working with industrial machinery within the maintenance department,
• Courses related to mechanical/electrical aptitude,
• Maths literacy,
• Ability to undertake assessment test as part of selection criteria,
• Ability to interpret line set drawings,
• Electrical knowledge to replace lamps and familiarity with thermostats to replace batteries.
• Thorough familiarity and knowledge of power and hand tools/equipment,
• Undergo an initial 3-week assessment on competence.

Job Purpose Under limited supervision, required to assemble, troubleshoot, and operate mechanical/electrical equipment and systems, involving work of a varied nature. Ability to perform general Maintenance and related work to renovate, maintain, and repair machines, equipment, and other company property.
