Annual Salary Range:Master's Degree Annual Salary Range: $43,079.00 (2 years' experience) up to $59,191.00 (25 years' experience)Bachelor's Degree Annual Salary Range: $41,689.00 (2 years' experience) up to $57,269.00 (25 years' experience)Job DescriptionBasic PurposeTypical FunctionsThe functions performed in this job family will vary by level, unit and organization, but may include the following:Plans and implements home visits and other interactions designed to address IFSP outcomes for children and families within their natural routines.Utilize video conferencing to provide services per program guidelines, as needed.Engages families and children in ongoing assessment and evaluation to appropriately address the next steps.Participates as a member of a team during evaluation/assessmentEnsures early intervention services and documentation in compliance with state and federal laws and mandatesOrganizes and/or leads family engagement events and educational opportunities for families and children.Collaborates within community programs and resources to support families and children.Works in partnership with the Oklahoma School for the Deaf's (OSD) Early Childhood Education Centers teachers on goals for children jointly enrolled in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and Family Engagement and Early Language Supports FEELS.Plans and implements training and mentoring for parent advisors, community partners and educational partners on core competencies related to working with children who are deaf and/or hard of hearing.Organizes and leads parent infant/toddler classes at OSD's Early Childhood Education Centers or other locations determined by the department.Establishes Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and attends Individualized Education Plan (IEPs) meetings as requested, and oversees transition from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C to Part B.Attends workshops, conferences, presentations and other training opportunities as required by the program.Level DescriptorLevels are distinguished based on the complexity of assigned duties, the level of expertise required for completion of work assignments, and the responsibility assigned for the supervision of others.This is the career level of the job family, where incumbents are responsible for providing resources for children ages birth to five (5) years old who are deaf and/or hard of hearing. This level works with families to achieve identified outcomes and goals for the child.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and CompetenciesIn addition to the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies identified in lower level(s),Skills required are to confidentiality listen to, teach, and effectively communicate with families to assist children, to utilize videoconferencing; and to provide accurate and timely documentation.Abilities required are to provide home-based intervention to children who are deaf and/or hard of hearing; and to organize and lead classes for families.Education and ExperienceEducation and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree in deaf education or related field and 3 (three) years of experience in providing home-based intervention to children who are deaf and/or hear of hearing.Special RequirementsSome agencies prefer a master's degree in Deaf Education, Early Intervention/Early Childhood, or Speech Language Pathology or a similar field.Requires current certification in deaf educatVision insurancePaid time off
