Responsibilities
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT
- Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in office (M-W), 2 days remote
- Serve as a trusted, frontline HR partner for employees and managers across various business groups
- Execute end-to-end onboarding and offboarding logistics, including background checks, I-9s, IT coordination, Day 1 communications, exit interviews, and systems offboarding
- Support employees in navigating benefits questions, including general health plan information, open enrollment, and COBRA
- Coordinate leave of absence programs, managing intake, monitoring, and return-to-work logistics
- Handle workers' comp intake and tracking, and support OSHA compliance reporting
- Support compliance requirements including FLSA audits, SOX requests, and compliance training coordination
- Process unemployment claims and respond to employment verification requests in a timely manner
- Leverage AI-enabled tools, automations, and emerging technologies to streamline HR workflows
- Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS - processing lifecycle changes, EFM uploads, and personnel updates
- Partner with HR leadership to ensure consistent application of HR policies and alignment with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including company events and volunteering activities
- Own or support various People & Culture initiatives during your tenure (training, compliance, employee experience, feedback, reporting, etc.)
- Grow into employee relations, engagement programs, and talent management as stretch opportunities in partnership with the Director of Talent Management
- WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
- 3-5 years of progressive HR generalist or HR operations experience
- Working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA)
- Hands-on HRIS experience (UKG preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Curiosity and comfort with AI tools and emerging technology.
- PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus.
