Job Location: Nivagen Pharmaceuticals Inc, 3900 Duckhorn Dr, Sacramento, CA 95834 At Nivagen as a Warehouse Associate - GMP Operations, you will be responsible for warehouse operations such as material handling, receipt, storage, issuance and stock keeping of materials within warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and quality requirements
- Accurately label, store, and segregate materials based on status (e.g., quarantine, released, rejected) in designated storage areas
- Pick, stage, and deliver materials to Manufacturing, QC, and other departments per approved requests or batch records
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and inventory integrity through routine cycle counts and adherence to 5S principles
- Ensure real-time inventory accuracy through proper usage of ERP or inventory management systems
- Support preparation of materials for outbound shipment, including cold chain and controlled substances as applicable
- Complete and maintain all required GMP documentation, including logbooks, inventory forms, and transaction records
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of discrepancies, deviations, and inventory issues
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and as trained
- Comply with all applicable safety, environmental, and cGMP regulations
- Participate in training, cross-functional support, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure FEFO (First Expiry First Out) on all material withdrawal
- Check the expiry and retest date of all materials
- Cleaning and sanitization of the warehouse as per SOP, and maintaining relevant logbooks as per SOP
- Perform calibration of weighing balances and other instruments as per SOP
- Disposal of expired, rejected, and damaged goods as perthe relevant SOP
- Follow company policies, cGMP's, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Education/Experience:
- A High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1-2 years of experience in any one of the following, or a combination of the following: Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Material handling, Customer Service, Inventory Control, or other comparable service line
- Forklift experience (required)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong background in warehouse operations, preferably in a GMP manufacturing facility
- Good knowledge of regulatory guidance and standard operating procedures related to the warehouse
- Good documentation and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Legally authorized to be employed in the United States
- Must live or be willing to move to the Sacramento Metropolitan Region (Approx. 40 miles' radius)
- Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
- Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift throughout each shift, with or without accommodation
- Completion of picking, packing, and closing competency assessments
