MERITUS are recruiting for a Supply Officer to join our client within the aerospace manufacturing world in an initial 6 month contract (with very likely extension thereafter). The successful candidate will manage supplier relationships, coordinate recovery activities, support operational delivery and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the end-to-end supply chain. The role requires a commercially aware, data-driven individual with strong stakeholder management capability, experience operating within manufacturing or engineering environments and the ability to coordinate across multiple functions internationally. Key Responsibilities Manage supplier performance across a portfolio of operational suppliers within a complex manufacturing environment. Monitor and manage supply chain risks, implementing mitigation and recovery plans where required. Coordinate demand planning, forecasting and supply prioritisation activities. Act as a key interface between operations, procurement, quality and external suppliers. Support supplier performance improvement and recovery initiatives. Maintain and optimise ordering strategies, inventory control and material availability. Manage order books and maintain ERP/MRP master data accuracy. Utilise data analytics and digital tools to support operational decision-making. Support automation and process improvement initiatives across the supply chain function. Coordinate supplier governance activities and operational reviews. Support transformation and logistics improvement programmes. Work collaboratively across international teams and supplier networks. Essential Experience Experience within supply chain, procurement, manufacturing operations or engineering environments. Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems within manufacturing operations. Experience managing supplier performance and operational delivery. Ability to analyse operational data and drive problem resolution. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience operating within cross-functional and international environments. Good organisational capability and ability to manage competing priorities. Strong team collaboration skills. Desirable Experience Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive or complex manufacturing sectors. SAP or equivalent ERP platform experience. Exposure to digitalisation or supply chain automation initiatives. Lean, continuous improvement or operational excellence experience. Project management capability. Experience supporting supplier recovery programmes. Willingness to travel internationally where required.
