Responsibilities

  • Contribute to product and process design through DFM work in close collaboration with R&D, Quality, Reliability, suppliers, and factories
  • Work with molding machinery vendors to optimize and further develop molding process capabilities
  • Lead development and continuous improvement of epoxy molding , sealing, and related assembly processes for current and future Oura products
  • Drive process capability, yield, quality, and throughput improvements through structured DOE, process studies, and validation activities
  • Support manufacturing readiness , prototype builds, pilot builds, and factory ramp-ups across external partners
  • Work as a global expert across multiple products, sites, and contract manufacturers according to business need
  • Mentor other cross-functional team members and help strengthen process engineering ways of working across Oura manufacturin
  • We would love to have you on our team if you have:
  • Strong hands-on experience developing and improving different kind of epoxy-based manufacturing processes such as molding, encapsulation, sealing, adhesive application, or similar material-driven processes
  • Proven track record in high-volume manufacturing, preferably in consumer electronics or other precision products
  • Experience with DOE, process characterization, validation, and process capability improvement
  • Strong understanding of DFM, tooling, materials, and how process decisions affect product quality and manufacturability
  • Experience working with suppliers, factories, and cross-functional teams to deploy process improvements into production
  • Analytical, systematic, and organized way of working with strong follow-through on actions and decisions
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working across engineering, quality, operations, and external partners
  • Comfort working in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time at a minimum
  • This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office

Injection molding applications are not in focus for this position. This role is a global expert position supporting multiple products and contract manufacturers based on the needs of NPI programs and mass production. The right person will be equally comfortable working hands-on on the factory floor, driving structured DOE and process studies, and influencing design and manufacturing decisions early in development. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office.
