About the Position: The incumbent will serve as the U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) Environmental Specialist and Command expert on environmental and energy laws, regulations and unique requirements related to the management of Military Ocean Terminals (MOT), and its capital investment strategies. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Applying environmental program principles and procedures to one or more environmental program functional areas to solve complex problems; 2. Managing and reviewing actions regarding environmental and energy programs; 3. Developing plans and programmatic strategies in environmental planning; and 4. Solving multiple, complex problems/challenges associated with environmental and cultural compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Environmental Policy and Strategy Development Environmental Project and Program Management Problem Solving Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
