About the role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support our enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls, and VPN systems! This role supports branch operations, production data centers, cloud connectivity, and business-critical applications including telephony and video systems. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, identifying root causes and documenting solutions.
  • Ensure robust network monitoring, alerting, and logging systems are in place and operational.
  • Configure and maintain network devices in accordance with best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow change management protocols for all network-related modifications.
  • Provide Level 3 support for LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and remote VPN systems.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements or automation opportunities.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and support scheduled project or operational changes.
  • Collaborate with business units to assess needs and deliver scalable, secure network solutions.
  • Design, implement, and support cloud connectivity (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) based on business requirements.
  • Enhance network uptime by continuously improving monitoring systems and response strategies.
  • Lead or support multiple high-impact, high-visibility infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams supporting applications and infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).
  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving issues through organizational collaboration.
  • Plan and execute WAN and internet-related initiatives to support business expansion.
  • Validate project requirements, define scope, create schedules, and produce detailed network designs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex WAN and internet-related networking problems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all deployed solutions and configurations.
  • Plan and implement complex network upgrades and migration projects.
  • Support the deployment and strategy of network management tools and systems.
  • Mentor junior network team members as needed.
  • Salary Range
  • The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
  • $133,200 - $192,825 USD

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a hands-on network engineer in complex environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Cisco networking hardware and software (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent experience).
  • Deep understanding of IP networking, including Layer 2/3 protocols: spanning-tree, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, QoS, VLANs, ACLs, and NAC/SDA.
  • Experience with enterprise-grade VPNs, firewalls, and network encryption technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot large-scale, multi-platform LAN/WAN/WLAN environments.
  • Proven experience in designing and supporting high-availability, load-balanced network environments.
  • Experience supporting secure wireless networks in an enterprise setting.
  • 4+ years of experience in planning and supporting production data center networks.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud networking strategies.
  • Familiarity with network security policies and compliance standards.
  • Strong knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow).
  • Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to various branch locations as required.
  • Experience with SD-WAN implementation is a plus.
  • Experience with telephony systems and standards is desirable.
  • Automation and scripting experience is a plus.
