About the role

Reporting to the Supervisor, Cage Operations Technician, the Cage Operations Technician performs preventative maintenance and is responsible for troubleshooting on multi-functional kiosks, ATM machines, currency counters, bank issues, money carts, cabinets and other various equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Completes electronic and mechanical repairs; responds to floor calls and completes multi-function kiosk customer claims. Rebuilds, repairs and replaces multi-function kiosk hardware and software components. Performs repairs of all electrical and mechanical components of required equipment. Responsible for software updates and makes adjustments to internal settings on multi-function kiosks. 2. Responsible for reading and generating reports pertaining to Gaming Commission regulations. Ensures internal controls are adhered to on multi-function kiosks and follows notification protocol to access ports and software. Complies with Cage Operations internal controls, enterprise and Departmental policies and procedures. Investigates and generates reports on the malfunction of kiosks. Summarizes results of the investigations and technical actions taken on overage/shortage caused by malfunction. Maintains security and accountability of enterprise funds and all assets associated with the multi-function kiosk, ATM machines and bank issues. 3. Coordinates with various internal departments on relocation/removal of multi-functional kiosks, ATM machines, bank issues and other equipment used by the Department. Assists vendors with installation and maintenance on multi-function kiosks, ATM machines, currency counters, banks issues, and other equipment used by the department. Assists in monitoring, maintaining and implementing network connectivity on multi-function kiosks and ATM machines. 4. Reports trends, problems, and concerns about technical and service issues. Creates proper documentation and adequately prepares parts for repair; identifies components and parts that require vendor repair. Maintains monthly inventory on parts and supplies. 5. Trains Department team members on basic maintenance and operating instructions for multi-function kiosks, ATM machines, currency counters, bank issues and other Department equipment. 6. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or GED required. - Six (6) months of recent experience as Kiosks, ATM or Slot Technician or related technical experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA) - Must possess proficient computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS) (i.e. MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.) - Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and air compressors. - Ability to read and comprehend performance charts and graphs to diagnose problems with multi-function kiosks. - Required to possess comprehensive knowledge of all Policy and Procedures governed by the Gaming Commission Regulations. - Strong technical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify terminology that a non-technical end user and/or senior executive can understand. - Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients as well as third-party service/product providers. - Must have experience of demonstrating the utmost discretion and confidentiality as they will have access to financial data. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS - At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license. - No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT The physical demands and working environment described here are representative of those that an employee encounters and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting. Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences. Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 40 pounds occasionally. Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
