Leveraged Lending Analyst-2

About the role

Serve as a member of an analyst team that supports senior bankers in leveraged finance transactions. Prepare financial analysis and underwriting materials and assist in the preparation of proposals and pitches. Primary Responsibilities: Participate in the preparation of materials to support leveraged finance transactions, including financial modeling; comparable company transaction multiple or deal structure analyses to support deal positioning, negotiation and execution. Assist in the preparation of memoranda, presentation materials, and marketing materials. Facilitate research projects that underpin transaction positioning and recommendations to enhance shareholder value. Coordinate and carryout routine operational tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis. Manage business unit projects as assigned. Maintain appropriate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: Supports a defined product set of valuation skills, including modeling. Has a working knowledge of lending and credit, as well as investment banking (0-3 years). The position requires introductory interaction with clients and referral sources-external (prospective customers) and internal (various Bank personnel) contacts to perform responsibilities. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field and 1 years' experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 3 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 year's banking or financial services experience. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Power Point Education and Experience Preferred: Minimum of 1 years' proven and progressive investment banking and capital markets roles. The pay range for this position is $77,300.00 - $128,900.00 Annual (USD).
