Part- time (21.6 hours per week) , Fixed Term position until 2 nd July 2027 Salary HEW 5 + 17% Superannuation Based at the Bundoora campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University The Health Clinic Officer provides high-quality customer service to patients, students, and staff at the RMIT Health Clinic, acting as the primary point of contact at reception for all enquiries. This role supports the administrative functions of the clinic, contributing to the efficient day-to-day operations and ensuring adherence to University and health policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. The Health Clinic Officer also plays a key role in data management and reporting to support the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team and provides broader administrative assistance to the School Operations Team as required . Evening shifts and rostered weekend work are essential to accommodate the clinic's operating hours, which extend beyond standard University business hours. To be successful in this position, you'll have: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills , with the ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional staff, students, and external clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service , ideally in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in a health or medical clinic setting , with an understanding of clinical environments and patient interactions. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures , while managing confidential information with sensitivity and discretion. Strong organisational and time management skills , with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment. High level of digital proficiency , including the effective use of software systems with accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies . About the College The STEM College Office Professional staff provide exceptional and efficient support to the College. The Learning, Teaching and Quality teams support: Quality Enhancement Learning and Teaching support The Professional shared services Group delivers service to all four School across five distinct functions: Student Lifecycle Planning & Operations Technical Services Program & Governance WIL & Engagement Relevant digital solutions - such as Workday - are used by the five teams to streamline processes and drive operational efficiencies. The Group's end-to-end professional support ensures a consistent approach to the operational and strategic functioning of the College and adherence to University policies and procedures. The STEM College Office professional staff are instrumental in providing students with a transformative and enriched learning experience, and in supporting our research and engagement administration activities. Centralised in the STEM College Office, at our City and Bundoora campuses, professional staff members have opportunities to cross-skill, engage in professional development and develop their own career paths.
