About the role
You will serve as a RIGGING AND CRANE OPERATIONS DIVISION ASSISTANT in the RIGGING AND EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS DIVISION, LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying quality assurance principles and methods to develop division plans, policies and procedures as they relate to nuclear submarine overhauls and implementation of NAVSEA's Quality Improvement Program. Experience ensuring a division's mission, objectives, procedures and the relationship of quality assurance with training, cost and schedule adherence are met. Experience applying budget procedures including cost classes and tracking methods as well as a thorough knowledge of shipyard trades. Experience reviewing various shipyard instructions and manual changes and providing comments on proposed instructions and changes.
