Rigging & Crane Operations Division Assistant

About the role

You will serve as a RIGGING AND CRANE OPERATIONS DIVISION ASSISTANT in the RIGGING AND EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS DIVISION, LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying quality assurance principles and methods to develop division plans, policies and procedures as they relate to nuclear submarine overhauls and implementation of NAVSEA's Quality Improvement Program. Experience ensuring a division's mission, objectives, procedures and the relationship of quality assurance with training, cost and schedule adherence are met. Experience applying budget procedures including cost classes and tracking methods as well as a thorough knowledge of shipyard trades. Experience reviewing various shipyard instructions and manual changes and providing comments on proposed instructions and changes.
