Adventist Outpatient Imaging Services seeks to hire an experienced MRI Technologist for our Outpatient Imaging office in Silver Spring, MD who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As an MRI Tech you will: - Demonstrates proficiency in operating MRI scanners and all ancillary equipment. Must be able assist in training new employees in their use. Properly identifies and performs MRI safety procedures on all patients including those with implantable devices. - Understands principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. Identifies contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognizes symptoms of IV contrast reactions. - Initiates cost saving measures with Manager and Director's approval. - Maximizes patient throughput and demonstrates teamwork with coworkers by managing patient load using one MRI scanner. Transports patients when necessary. - Collaborates with coworkers, radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, other departments to ensure best patient care possible including ability to lead by example with strong work ethic. - Maintain a safe and appropriate work area. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment. - Maintains and orders appropriate supplies, minimizes waste and keeps costs down. Is responsible for department staffing. Qualified candidates will posses: - High school or GED - Graduated from an accredited AMA/JRCERT School of Radiography or earned ARRT MRI registration via "primary eligibility pathway" - Two years' experience in MRI - ARRT Advanced Certification in MRI - State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license - Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Willing to learn Cardiac MRI Work Schedule: Employment Type: Part Time Hours per Week: 24 hours Typical Daily Schedule: 1:00PM- 9:30 PM Monday through Friday Shift Type: Day Weekend Requirements: None Holiday Requirements: None On-Call: No Pay Range: $39.96 - $59.94 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
