About the role

You will serve as a SECRUITY GUARD in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Prohibit unauthorized personnel from accessing secured areas to maintain security. Controlling personnel access by monitoring the identification of individuals entering controlled areas. Limit personnel access by monitoring the identification of individuals entering controlled areas and allowing access to only those who are authorized. Allow entrance to persons and vehicles with proper authorizations. Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Confirm facilities, locks, alarms, fences, gates, or other barriers are closed/locked or open/unlocked depending on the time of day and the conditions that apply. Monitor alarms for the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities. Notify emergency personnel when issues arise to assist in protecting personnel, property, equipment, or facilities. Enforce security measures to protect personnel, property, and materials. Confirm visitors are properly escorted while at the agency or business to support security efforts. Assess visitor needs to make recommendations based on visitor input. Assess situations to take appropriate action according to delegated authority and accepted procedures.
