Aviation Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Here's what you'll need
• BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect(RA), AIA membership designation, Professional Project Management (PPM) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
• Proven experience leading aviation design and/or construction projects, with a strong track record supporting Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) and other Washington, DC-area aviation agencies.
• Deep familiarity with MWAA technical requirements, processes, design standards, permitting pathways, and construction coordination protocols, as well as experience navigating stakeholder reviews with regional aviation authorities.
• Outstanding listening, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information clearly.
• Strength in presenting data, project progress, and design concepts in a structured and compelling way.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• An understanding of the LEED certification process and sustainable design considerations for aviation infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements as they relate to aviation construction environments.
• The base salary range for this position is $154,700.00 to $205,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
