About the role

We are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to support the bank's credit risk management function. This role will be responsible for credit assessment, risk monitoring, and regulatory reporting , ensuring all credit exposures are managed in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with both front-office and back-office teams, playing a key role in maintaining asset quality and supporting prudent risk decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform credit risk evaluation on corporate clients, including review of credit terms and conditions prior to facility drawdown
  • Monitor credit exposures, repayment behaviour, and compliance with approved terms and covenants
  • Identify potential risk issues and recommend appropriate mitigation measures in line with the Bank's risk framework
  • Prepare and submit risk management reports (e.g. credit risk limits, RWA, asset quality and portfolio reports) in a timely manner
  • Support implementation of risk policies and guidelines from Head Office and local management
  • Participate in drafting and updating credit policies and procedures
  • Prepare reports in Business Chinese for submission to Head Office, including regulatory reporting (e.g. MAS610)
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across front and back office to ensure smooth processing of credit and trade-related transactions
  • Support ad-hoc projects and assignments as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Banking, Accountancy or related discipline
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in credit risk / credit analysis within banking
  • Strong understanding of credit assessment, financial analysis, and risk management principles
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting (e.g. MAS returns) will be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of global financial markets, industry trends, and macroeconomic environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required for reporting to Head Office
