We are partnering with an established securities house looking to strengthen its Institutional Equity Sales coverage out of Singapore. The successful candidate will play a central role in deepening these relationships and broadening the firm's institutional footprint in the region. Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen institutional relationships across hedge funds, insurers, banks, pension funds, and family offices, growing the franchise's footprint across the region
  • Originate and convert client opportunities by matching research insights, primary and secondary deal flow, and broader product offerings to each account's specific mandate and risk appetite
  • Drive client engagement through regular dialogue, idea generation, and timely follow-through on requests, positioning the desk as a trusted source of market insight
  • Own a defined regional coverage plan, setting and delivering against targets agreed with senior management
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including research, trading, and head office colleagues, to ensure coordinated and consistent client coverage
  • Contribute to broader desk initiatives and strategic projects alongside day-to-day account management responsibilities
  • Candidate Profile
  • A minimum of five years' experience in institutional equity sales, with demonstrated knowledge of regional markets and institutional client behaviour
  • Strong grounding in equity products and the broader secondary markets ecosystem; experience in equity financing or structured products is an advantage
  • An established track record of managing institutional client relationships, ideally including exposure to family offices or corporate accounts
  • Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English, given the need to coordinate closely with head office stakeholders and Mandarin-speaking clients
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and manage a regional book under performance expectations, without close day-to-day supervision
