About the role
Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist, Director of Radiology, Chairman, and/or Manager, the Radiologic Technologist Assistant provides support and assists the Radiologic Technologist and or Radiologist with radiographic imaging procedures. Education High school or equivalent (GED). Certification, Registration, and Licensure Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Assists and supports the Technologist with related protocols, procedures and patient care.
- Acts as a liaison between technologist, radiologist and other departmental personnel.
- Verifies and documents pertinent exam information and assists with preparation and education of the patient for procedure and expectations.
- Utilizes hospital and departmental information, technology systems and equipment operation.
- Maintains a level of productivity, adaptability, flexibility and timeliness in managing workload and
- processes required to meet patient care and department needs.
- Adheres to department policy and procedures and practices modality specific safety protocols.
- Actively engages in departmental meetings, modality meetings and committee initiatives.
- Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
- Participates in assignments, duties and responsibilities for continuous improvement in alignment with management and organizational goals
