Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is hiring a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Coordinator to join our patient care team. In this key role, you'll help ensure a smooth, welcoming clinical experience for patients and families-from check-in to check-out. Location: MSK Monmouth, 480 Redhill Road, Middletown Township, NJ, 07748 Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days/week, fully onsite. Hours vary between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm (Monday-Friday, occasional weekends). Schedules are provided one week in advance, and flexibility between shifts is expected . Role Overview: Serve as the first point of contact for our patients in the outpatient clinic setting Support clinic operations through patient scheduling, registration, and flow management Provide hands-on assistance with preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing/updating allergies/pharmacy/medication lists as needed Facilitate timely and clear communication between patients, providers, and the team Maintain MSK's standards for cleanliness, safety, and infection control are met Serve as an advocate for patient comfort, access, and satisfaction throughout the care journey Key Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare, customer service, or patient-facing role Ability to work onsite in a clinical environment, including performing basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs Core Skills: Patient-Centered Care: Compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and culturally sensitive; skilled in supporting acutely ill patients in high-stress situations. Communication & Teamwork: Strong communicator with proven ability to collaborate across clinical and administrative teams; adaptable to changing environments. Organization & Efficiency: Highly organized and detail-oriented; excels in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation. Multitasking & Flexibility: Comfortable in fast-paced settings; able to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and a positive demeanor. Technical Skills: Proficient in EMR systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and email platforms; quick to learn new systems. Healthcare Commitment: Passionate about improving the patient experience and supporting high-quality clinical care through administrative excellence.
