This job opportunity is for an LEAD ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, position description D2374000, within the USPFO of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to lead a team of accounting technicians that provide analysis, validation, processing, and correction of financial transactions and issues/discrepancies involving the full range of accounting services. General Experience: Experience, education, or training involving arithmetic principles, attention to detail, and application of established procedures for recording and compiling data; experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training of interpreting and applying a variety of accounting regulations and guidelines. Experience planning, organizing and coordinating work in order to resolve complex problems that occur. Financial Management Certification: FM LEVEL 2 Employees must obtain the appropriate certification levels for their positions within 24 months after initial assignment; and, employees must maintain the positions' continuous training and education studies, as identified for each certification level, during the defined 24 month period.
