We're looking for a Systems Engineer 1 to join our team in Canton, MS, supporting the software and automation systems that help keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently. In this role, you will work with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to develop, support, and improve the systems that drive production. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with some hands-on experience in software development, manufacturing systems, or automation who is looking to continue building their technical expertise in a manufacturing environment. While the role interacts closely with production equipment and plant operations, it is primarily a software and systems-focused position rather than a hardware or maintenance role. A Day in the Life Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other production-related software platforms. Develop, test, and implement software solutions used within manufacturing operations. Troubleshoot system issues and identify root causes to improve uptime and reliability. Assist with modifications and enhancements to support production changes and new model launches. Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation and control system improvements. Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for process optimization. Support the installation and integration of new or modified manufacturing systems. Manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Who We're Looking For Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), PLC programming, and/or software development within a manufacturing environment. Experience with Microsoft .NET (C#), Visual Basic, and SQL. Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software development principles. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to gather requirements and develop technical solutions that meet business needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Desired Experience with GE Cimplicity. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) platforms. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell. Automotive manufacturing experience. Experience supporting factory automation or industrial control systems. Exposure to manufacturing automation, process controls, or plant-floor systems. Experience working with system integrations and continuous improvement initiatives.
