More about the role: As a Senior Account Director, you are a senior strategic leader within the agency. You are responsible for overseeing multiple client portfolios, providing high level strategic counsel, driving integrated communications programs and ensuring commercial success. You are a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and a mentor to your team. You bring a forward looking mindset across strategy, social, digital, AI, influencer and content, ensuring Burson delivers modern, measurable and reputation led solutions. You contribute to Burson's performance by strengthening client relationships, generating organic and new business growth, building high performing teams and upholding a culture of collaboration, excellence and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Act as a senior strategic advisor to clients, defining and managing expectations at executive level.
- Drive multi channel strategy incorporating PR, social, digital, influencer, content and emerging AI capabilities.
- Oversee quality control of all client deliverables, ensuring excellence in strategic thinking and execution.
- Leverage analytics, digital insights and AI driven tools to enhance strategy, measurement and optimisation.
- Own profitability and revenue targets across allocated accounts.
- Act as a line manager and mentor, actively developing talent and future leaders.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency and accountability.
- Drive new business activity, including leading proposals, pitch processes and conversion strategies.
- Work closely with the ELT on agency wide initiatives and strategic priorities
- Experience that contributes to success:
- Significant experience in corporate communications and client leadership.
- Strong sector experience in B2B and / or technology.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi channel campaigns.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven revenue and profitability management.
- Deep understanding of media, influencer and digital ecosystems.
- Experience incorporating social, digital and AI led solutions into communications strategies.
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative leader with high integrity, strong organisational capability and a solutions oriented mindset.
