About the role

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a CNC Machinist 1 at MKS Inc., you will partner with Operations to process high-precision optics on various CNC machines. In this position, you will report to the Filters Unit Production Manager. You Will Make an Impact By: - Operating multiple CNC cutting machines - Prioritizing workload to ensure on-time delivery goals are met - Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to correctly process substrates to meet customer requirements - Working safely and looking out for the safety of your co-workers - Maintaining productive communication with other team members, including production planning and management - Travel Requirements: Up to [Please Insert] % of Travel is required. Skills You Bring: - 1+ years experience operating CNC machines - Strong mechanical aptitude - Ability to effectively solve problems and adapt to changing conditions - Excellent attention to detail and follow through Preferred Skills: - Experience processing glass substrates on CNC machines - Writing programs for CNC machines Physical Demands and Working Conditions: - Ability to lift 20 lbs. - Ability to stand for at least 50% of the time Compensation and Benefits: Pay Range: $16.70 - 27.83hr is range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
