Job Description Summary This Research Assistant position will provide research-oriented support to projects focused on the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Program s mission which is to improve the outcome of pediatric patients who have arrhythmias. The Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Assistant will work on cardiac research studies and other research related tasks to support the program s initiatives under the guidance and direction of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Manager. Responsibilities will include data validation and analysis, writing reports, and assisting with writing grant applications. Organizational Status The Research Assistant will support the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Program s initiatives under the guidance and direction of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Manager. Work Performed Work performed will include (but is not exclusive to): - Coordinating clinical and translational projects - Liaising with current and new participating sites; possible site visits if travel permitted - Conducting data validation and analysis activities for several projects involving multiple large databases - Familiarity with database software such as REDCap and statistical methods - Writing reports and assisting with the preparation of manuscripts based on results from completed data analyses - Assisting with writing and submission of grant applications - Conducting computerized literature searches as needed, reviewing articles and compiling annotated bibliographies - Preparing documents, including correspondence, posters, presentations, and quarterly reports - Supporting projects of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Program as needed - Performing other related duties as required Consequence of Error/Judgement Errors in judgement would impact negatively on the Research Program s reputation and productivity.
