Responsibilities

  • Trade Processing & Lifecycle Management
  • Process FX and interest rate trades, including trade confirmations, settlements, and lifecycle events, in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely matching of trades with counterparties and custodians.
  • Monitor trade settlement status and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completion.
  • Reconciliation & Issue Resolution
  • Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash balances.
  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks, settlement discrepancies, and operational exceptions.
  • Liaise with counterparties, brokers, custodians, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Risk & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies, operational procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving operational risks, trade breaks, and control issues.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and control testing activities.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process enhancements and automation.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), system upgrades, and implementation of new products, processes, or workflows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports, reconciliations, and management dashboards.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on trade issues, settlement status, and operational risks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting team at Taiwan HQ to understand operational workflows and reporting requirements.
  • Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Around 3-5 years of relevant experience in trade operations, middle office, or financial services.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is required as the role involves regular communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders based in Taiwan HQ.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
