ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE: An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Revenue Officer to join the Revenue Team at St Vincent's Health Australia- Private Division. The Revenue Officer works as part of the revenue team and is responsible for processing all hospital patient claims in accordance with health fund contractual agreements. Liaising with health funds on claim processing and payments. Accurately calculating any out of pocket costs, informing the patient of these costs, collecting payments, and receipting. Collection of outstanding debt and the organisation of refunds for both patients and health funds. Providing excellent customer service to patients from a revenue perspective. This role will be full time, working 38 hours per week and will be pivotal in efficient and accurate execution of all hospital claims. ABOUT YOU: You are an organised and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes. Your skills will include: Previous experience in billing or accounts receivable within a private healthcare environment. Demonstrated experience interpreting health fund contracts and billing rules. Experience using Patient Administration Systems within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience in debt collection and managing aged debt (desirable).
