Learn more about life and purpose of our company directly from the Romanian colleagues' video: Bucharest, Romania | Where We Work | LSEG Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a highly collaborative, agile team responsible for development and maintenance of a number of Primary Markets applications in LSEG Capital Markets division.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you'll be joining our Primary Markets Application Services team within the Capital Markets Division as a Lead DevOps Engineer.
  • The team maintains systems running on AWS ensuring their availability and resiliency through DevOps standard methodologies.
  • You will work in a development pod/team and will be helping maintain DevOps culture through the application of the DevOps pillars.
  • The role includes elements of CI/CD and deployment automation, security, systems design for resilience/scalability, operational automation, monitoring, you will own DevOps for your pod.
  • The role also includes Level 2 systems support. You will be expected to be periodically available on-call out of office hours. There will also be an element of weekend work.
  • Helping to advise on the work of a small team of DevOps Engineers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in AWS
  • Ability to assess complex system requirements to produce implementation designs
  • Understanding of git concepts, CI/CD, release strategy, branching strategy, and development/release pipelines.
  • Exceptional knowledge of terraform
  • Experience with Unix and Windows environments.
  • Experience supporting business critical software system
  • Ability to work with teams to assist and guide them on deployment practices, while implementing improvements to enable further automation of deployments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both orally and written
  • Ability to handle own work and multitask to meet tight deadlines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision.
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring technical staff.
  • Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Modern tooling experience, e.g. Ansible, Terraform, DataDog, Jenkins/Cloudbees, GitLab, ServiceNow (or similar)
  • Source and versioning control with tools like GIT, Bitbucket, Nexus, Artifactory.
  • Strong solving skills and ability to identify the root cause of issues.
  • Networking issue diagnostic experience.
  • AWS Developer/Sysops/DevOps accreditation.
  • Can work independently and in a team environment.
  • Windows Server and EKS/Kubernetes experience
