Electrical/Mechanical Tech Support Intern

Responsibilities

• Support EM technicians with 6S activities in the Osgood and Baytech labs
• Assist in documenting the SkyLyte build process
• Help label, organize, and maintain reactor build inventory
• Collect, analyze, and document experimental data; communicate findings clearly
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Team‑oriented with strong communication skills
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and work in a dry room environment for up to 6 hours per day
• Compensations Range:
• The expected base salary range for this position is between
• $25.00 - $32.00 The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

This hands‑on role offers exposure to industry‑standard process development and real‑world scale‑up challenges at Lyten's San Jose facility. The intern will work closely with the EM Tech Support team to support reactor builds and maintain reactor build inventory. Candidates should have a strong technical foundation, a data‑driven mindset, and a proactive attitude, and be eager to learn in a dynamic R&D environment.
