Commercial Field Service - Intern

Requirements

• Minimum 24 credit hours of coursework toward a Bachelor's degree or technical (or equivalent) degree in the function interning or a recent graduate with a Bachelor degree or technical degree in the function interning.
• A minimum CGPA of 3.0.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines.
• Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow, and anticipate future needs of the team.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-Starter, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills and capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones.

Job Description Summary Candidate will work on projects together with allocated Field Engineer related to Airline operational support, which is in line with their interest and prior coursework and degree program. Role Overview: Work on projects often requiring independent decision-making, with support & guidance from a Senior field service engineer, whilst being exposed to airline operations and how GE Aerospace supports its customers. Develop PowerPoint presentations and other graphic presentations to communicate progress, share best practices, or to provide updates. May analyze data with excel or various other analysis tools to get familiar with jet engine operational data and trends. May take on certain aspects of a full time job within the function the intern is studying. Perform assignments where trust and accuracy are required. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a self‑starting, detail-oriented team player currently pursuing or recently completing a relevant technical or bachelor's degree, with strong analytical skills, proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and other MS Office tools, and the ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound independent judgment while supporting GE Aerospace's field service and airline operations. Required Qualifications Current enrollment in a degree program that will lead to a bachelor's degree or technical degree or equivalent in the function (or similar) in which the intern will work or has a bachelor's degree or technical degree in the function (or similar) he or she is interning in. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Effective time management and organizational skills and able to balance multiple priorities Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written/communications skills.
