About the role
Job Description: CT Tech 40 Hours Weekly, Full Time, Nights (Primarily rotating night shift 7pm - 7am working 3 shifts one week followed by 2 shifts the following week; No on call shifts or holiday coverage requirements) The CT Technologist performs CT exams and procedures in alignment with departmental standards to meet and exceed patient expectations. Responsibilities include verifying patient information and orders, following protocols, establishing venous access when needed, monitoring patients, using sterile technique and radiation protection, assisting radiologists, responding promptly to requests, and educating patients using the Teach Back method. The role also involves managing daily operations of the assigned area, ensuring regulatory compliance, operating imaging equipment and PACS systems, maintaining a clean workspace, and participating in on-call coverage. Quality assurance duties include producing high-quality images, minimizing repeats, ensuring accurate documentation, and properly annotating images. Additional responsibilities include obtaining and documenting patient history, updating electronic health records, completing incident reports, verifying orders, and ensuring accurate charge capture.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Radiology from an Accredited Program
- One year CT experience required
- Must hold ARRT Registry and KMIRT license
- BCLS Required
