Why Join Intellia? Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases. Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done. We want all of our people to go beyond what is possible. We aren't constrained by typical end rails, and we aren't out to just "treat" people. We're all in this for something more. We're driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together. Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Scientist in Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) Discovery to lead efforts in the production, scale-up and characterization of next generation lipid-based delivery systems for nucleic acid therapeutics. The successful candidate will play a key scientific role in advancing our delivery platform, working at the interface of formulation science and biology to advance our pipeline. Duties/Responsibilities Design, formulate, and characterize lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems for nucleic acid delivery across early research and preclinical development stages Develop and optimize formulation processes, including microfluidic mixing and scale-up approaches (e.g., TFF, ultrafiltration) Screen and evaluate novel ionizable lipids and LNP compositions; analyze structure-function relationships to improve delivery performance Deliver reproducible and impactful results under ambitious timelines, present results in cross-functional meetings to a broad audience. Interpret and summarize current literature, implement new features and functionality to improve delivery. Generate high-quality, reproducible data and maintain thorough documentation in electronic lab notebooks Interact with internal groups and external collaborators to supply formulations for in vitro and in vivo studies. Independently design and analyze preclinical studies.
