Urgent! Locum - Long term Therapy Assistant needed - $12/hr to $16/hr (Mon to Fri, Officer hours!) #HCGE

Responsibilities

• Assist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in carrying out therapy programs for clients.
• Support clients with therapy exercises, mobility, lifting, and transfers when needed.
• Monitor clients' condition and report any concerns or changes.
• Record and document therapy sessions accurately.
• Ensure rehabilitation equipment is used safely and properly maintained.
• Report faulty equipment to the relevant personnel.
• Maintain a safe environment for therapy activities.
• Encourage clients to participate in centre programs and activities.
• Assist with centre events, client transportation, and music therapy sessions as required.

Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School education, WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services, NITEC in Therapy Services, or equivalent
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• BCLS + AED certification preferred
