Requirements

  • A skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician who performs work requiring the basic skills in most of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, HV AC, carpentry, paint/wall cover, locksmith, in addition to performing other general maintenance duties.

  • What Would You Do:
  • Respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms, meeting rooms, food & beverage outlets, and public spaces.
  • Perform general repairs, minor setups for hotel functions, and light bulb replacements.
  • Maintain and organize tools and supplies in storerooms.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and guests regarding maintenance status.
  • Assist with inspections and monitor building systems including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fire safety.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel procedures, especially in occupied guest areas.
  • Support energy conservation efforts and help monitor waste.
  • Keep the engineering shop clean and equipment in good condition.
  • Follow emergency procedures and respond appropriately during incidents.
  • Use tools, equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and efficiently according to manufacturer's instructions and MSDS requirements.
  • Has basic knowledge of hotel's plumbing, heating/boiler, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, fire safety, sprinkler, lighting and communication systems
  • Check HotSoS and maintenance request lists daily for work assignments at the beginning of and throughout each shift.
  • Provide supervision and training to subordinate engineering positions.

About Lakewood Regional Support Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications.
