Diesel Technician

Requirements

• At least 4 years of diesel or heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience. (Preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms of a diesel engine (Hi rail and hydraulic knowledge is Preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
• Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
• Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics (MaxxTraxx knowledge is preferred)
• Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic so􀅌ware
• A valid driver's license; Must have CDL -B (CDL-A strongly preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effective collaboration and communication skills
• Must furnish own tools.

Diesel Service Tech/Mechanic Our client, a family-owned truck repair is an operated Union Diesel Repair Shop serving the St. Louis area for over 80 years. Currently being run by the 4th genera􀆟on of Schroeders. We are currently looking for Diesel Mechanics for our 2nd shift, 3:30 to Midnight.Monday through Friday work week, Union wages and Benefits via Machinist District 9. #ZR
