Technician

Responsibilities

• Follow all established operational procedures and safety guidelines as instructed by the supervisor.
• Interpret and utilize Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to correctly configure systems for operations.
• Operate and maintain systems such as firefighting, wastewater, hot oil heating, and utility systems.
• Perform equipment setup, adjustments, cleaning, monitoring, and material handling in accordance with work instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the work environment.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and support root cause analysis for process disruptions.
• Participate in equipment commissioning,start-up, shutdown, and decommissioning activities.
• Monitor and record instrument reading ssuch as meters and gauges.
• Conduct sampling, calibration, and quality assurance tasks.
• Perform tank inventory measurements using approved methods.
• Calculate product quantities manually when automated systems are unavailable.
• Report irregularities or abnormal readings to the supervisor promptly.
• Monitor facility operations to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Job Summary Reporting to the Operations Shift Supervisor, the Operations Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of terminal and jetty operations. The role includes handling, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used for the storage and distribution of products, while adhering strictly to workplace safety and health standards.
