Software Engineer - Tools & Automation

About the role

As a Software Engineer - Tools & Automation in the Networking Operations team, you will be responsible for accelerating software development workflows for bug triage, continuous integration and presubmission testing. Your role will include: - implementation of scripts and tools to support our engineering development workflow - creation of reports and dashboards to improve our submission and triage operations - troubleshooting of networking related features, across a variety of Apple platforms

Requirements

• Experience with large language models (Apple Foundation Models, Claude, Gemini, or other LLMs)
• Experience with macOS and iOS development tools (Xcode, Instruments, XCUITest)
• Experience with search and analytics engines like Splunk or Elastic Search
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality
• Experience with Network debugging tools (e.g. packet sniffers, protocol analyzers, ...)
• Lab management experience and configuration of network equipments (Switches, Routers, NATs, Firewalls, VMs, ...) in lab environment a plus
• Wireless and Cellular technologies experience a plus
• You are innovative, flexible, and results oriented with a positive attitude
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent networking software development experience
• Passion for automation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multi-functional engineering team
• Experience with automated build, continuous integration, and test automation systems
• Experience with source code management using git
• Experience designing and implementing software automation solutions with languages like Swift and Python","internalDetails":null
