Software Engineer - full stack contractor

Mō te tūranga | About the Role These roles sit in Technology, and you will report into one of the Technology Manager in that space. We're looking for people who demonstrate initiative, have strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work autonomously. We aim to ensure the work is challenging and rewarding. These roles will assist in building out our Agentic Delivery Framework, so they need to come curious and as AI advocates vs. detractors (some engineers are now very Anti AI). They'll support the creation of a WebUI and also the Engine that powers the Framework. Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring? - 5-10 years' experience in Java development. - Proven experience in JavaScript, React, SPA, accessibility. - Skilled in writing clean, well-tested code. - Proficiency in APIs and distributed systems. - Expertise in full stack development including the AI layer - Preferred to have UX-driven thinking - Wellington based
