Torch Technologies is seeking a Quality Engineer to join a team responsible for ensuring product quality, inspection compliance, and continuous process improvement within a rapidly growing manufacturing operation. As a Quality Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Coordinate inspection activities to support manufacturing with the completion of jobs. Be the primary Quality Representative for multiple programs concurrently Support customer visits/source inspections/first article inspections. Must be able to read prints and understand assembly instruction Review and interpret contract quality clauses and technical data and develop and document appropriate quality verification procedures, plans, and work instructions, including AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation. Provide labor plans and estimates in support of proposals and technical estimates Write non-conformance and facilitate investigation into root cause Must have experience writing work instructions, procedures, and implementing QMS documentation. Work in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams. Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, fabricated hardware, cable assemblies, integrated assemblies, machined components, and outgoing products. Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements. Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Train and mentor production personnel on quality control standards and best practices. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner. Support the ongoing development and improvement of quality, material control, and production control processes. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 5 years quality engineering experience. Active Secret Level Clearance Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment. Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications and prepare handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports. Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing and prototype development environment and adjust priorities based on workflow
