We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Manager to join our team in Brisbane. In this leadership role, you'll manage a portfolio of audit clients, mentor a growing team, and play an active part in business development. You'll oversee audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring the highest quality outcomes for our clients while managing deadlines, budgets, and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues;
  • Perform reviews of audit work;
  • Review of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management;
  • Summarise the key areas of the engagement for the partner;
  • Ensure completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines;
  • Conduct various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit;
  • Together with partner negotiate fees and demonstrate commercial responsibility for profitability of each client;
  • Contribute to meetings and is able to make effective presentations to staff and clients;
  • Assist with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance;
  • Monitor staffing requirements and future resource planning issues; and
  • Assist partners in business development and marketing activities.

  • Essential
  • 5-7 years' experience audit experience
  • Strong communication skills

  • Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Detailed working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation
