About the role

We are seeking a highly capable HR Manager to serve as the primary on-site Human Resources representative for our Serbia office. This is a hands-on role that is critical for managing all day-to-day HR Operations, Administration, and Compliance in our Serbia office hub, in addition to providing strategic People Partnering support for our growing global teams. Reporting to the Global HR Leadership, you will leverage your HR Generalist and HR Business Partner (HRBP) experience to foster a high-performing, collaborative, and compliant environment across our international teams. Your commitment to providing operational excellence, an exceptional employee experience, sound critical thinking, and proactive problem-solving will be essential to sustaining Nx's growth in Serbia. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities and assumes a close collaboration with HR colleagues in the US. If this sounds interesting to you we would love to meet and tell you more about it!

Responsibilities

  • HR Operations, Administration, and Serbian Compliance (Core Function)
  • This is the central function of the role, balancing meticulous operational execution with comprehensive regulatory compliance:
  • Compliance Management: Own and maintain full compliance with Serbian Labor Law, Health & Safety regulations, and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR). Experience with broader EU labor laws is helpful.
  • HR Administration: Oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including local onboarding, benefits administration (private health insurance, social security filings), and offboarding (including complex, high-risk separations).
  • Local HR Entity Support: Execute necessary HR documents and manage relationships with local legal counsel, tax advisors, and payroll providers. This role is critical for the ongoing HR management of the Serbia location, ensuring all employment contracts and internal acts meet local requirements.
  • HRIS & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate employee records and data integrity within the HRIS systems, ensuring all transactional work is managed with precision.
  • International Mobility: Act as the company's dedicated expert on international mobility, managing all Serbia-based relocations, visa processes, work authorizations, renewals, and related immigration activities for employees and their families.
  • Strategic People Partnering and Employee Experience
  • Serve as a trusted, approachable, and highly collaborative HR Business Partner to local employees and managers across all levels:
  • Performance Management: Own and administer performance review and check-in cycles, ensuring company-wide consistency in application.
  • Manager Coaching: Provide professional coaching and development to managers on performance management, individual career development, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues.
  • Learning & Development (L&D): Design, implement, and manage L&D programs, including language learning (English/Serbian classes) and manager training initiatives.
  • Culture & Engagement: Drive localised culture and engagement initiatives, fostering an inclusive and friendly cross-cultural environment.
  • HR Data Analytics and Strategic Insight
  • Apply critical thinking and data fluency to elevate HR's contribution to the business:
  • Data Analysis: Leverage HR data analytics and reporting to transform metrics (e.g., turnover, compliance tracking, L&D ROI) into actionable insights for leadership decision-making (e.g., program evaluations, retention efforts, compensation review, internal equity analysis).
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and lead opportunities for internal process improvements, focusing on automation and efficiency for scalability.
