About the role
Our special schools at Rainbow Centre aim to enable students with disabilities to develop to their fullest potential so that they can achieve their highest level of independence and lead thriving lives. Reporting to the Senior Teacher (ST), the Class Support assists the teaching team to ensure the smooth delivery of classroom activities and maximum engagement of students. Critical Work Functions: 1. Support Curriculum & Instructional Excellence Assist the teaching team in the care and management of students in class activities Assist with the specific hygiene, health, medical and safety needs of student as required (e.g. toileting, feeding etc) Prepare learning materials and learning environments Upkeep the cleanliness and safety aspects of the classroom Ensure hygiene standards of each student are maintained in the classroom Ensure the safe arrival and departure of students to each designated classroom and transport 2. Support Holistic Student Development Build a relationship with students by exhibiting care, concern and encouragement Work with relevant stakeholders, where needed, to maintain appropriate students' behaviour and progress Participate in and contribute to the school's and RC's activities Candidate Requirements Only Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. At least Secondary 3 education or 4 "N" Level passes; experience with students with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory. A completion bonus will be awarded upon successful completion of the contract.
