The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a HQ Air Force Test Center (AFTC) program manager/action officer, including staff agencies at 412th Test Wing, Edwards AFB, CA; 96th Test Wing, Eglin AFB, FL; Arnold Engineering and Development Complex, Arnold AFB, TN and numerous operating locations throughout the US providing strategic/technical HR guidance. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5300 Industrial Equipment Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. IDEAL CANDIDATE: A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Completion of an accredited Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Apprenticeship or vocational training program is desired but not always required. Normal color vision and a valid Florida driver's license will be required. A basic understanding of standard methods of combustion, heat transfer principles, and fuel characteristics to install, repair, and maintain heating boilers and domestic heating units and systems. A basic knowledge of pneumatics, electricity, and basic electronics to locate faults in temperature controls and control devices. Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks without restrictions (lifting 50 lbs. unassisted frequently). Knowledge of basic principles of the classified titled or related field. 2. Skill in communicating factual and procedural information and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing. 3. Ability to learn basic techniques of the classified title. 4. Ability to analyze problem to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions. 5. Ability to plan and organize work, and consult effectively with co-workers. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
