About the role
Roles & Responsibilities Lead and oversee all QEHS & ECM functions (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety), working closely with Heads of Departments to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, KPIs, organizational standards, and internal policies. Manage and sustain green and gracious initiatives to support certification under the Green and Gracious Builder Scheme (GGBS). Analyze accident and incident data, and develop targeted intervention and prevention programs. Organize and lead company-wide QEHS awareness and promotional activities annually. Plan and conduct EHS cross-inspections across project sites to ensure consistency and compliance. Coordinate external audits for QEHS systems and ensure all certifications remain valid and up to date. Monitor and maintain additional QEHS-related certifications (e.g., BizSAFE, GGBS, Registered Scaffold Contractor). Develop annual company safety targets aligned with corporate directives from Nakano Japan Overseas Division. Conduct regular meetings with project WSHOs to address site issues and standardize QEHS practices across projects. Provide QEHS advisory and consultation services to project sites. Support the Business Development team in tender submissions by providing QEHS-related inputs. Identify and recommend relevant QEHS training, seminars, and forums for staff development. Liaise with authorities and participate in site inspections when required. Support project teams in accident and incident investigations, providing guidance and recommendations. Maintain proper documentation and records using internal cloud systems (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive) for accessibility and knowledge sharing. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Construction General Manager or Company Director. Maintain a valid registration with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
