Your mission As a Financial Controller & ESG Reporting at Bitpanda, you operate at the intersection of financial and sustainability performance. On the financial side, you provide meaningful data for decision-making, own reliable target-setting, track performance against budget, and help shape our KPI sets and management reporting. On the ESG side, you drive the accurate and transparent disclosure of our environmental, social, and governance performance. The two halves reinforce each other: you bring the same audit-ready rigor to our sustainability data that we apply to our financial figures, and you leverage the overlap between financial and non-financial reporting to build one coherent, efficient reporting landscape.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Consolidate monthly financial results and deliver management reporting alongside deep-dive analyses to drive business performance improvements.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI setting to establish ambitious targets and continuously review performance metrics.
• ESG Strategy & Compliance: Own and scale the ESG reporting framework, ensuring accurate data collection and disclosure in line with regulatory standards (e.g., CSRD/ESRS).
• ESG Integration & Guidance: Embed sustainability considerations into core business workflows and act as the organization's internal subject matter expert on ESG regulations.
• Systems & Workflow Optimization: Build and maintain an efficient, integrated reporting landscape across both the financial and ESG domains using modern reporting tools.

Requirements

• An experienced professional with 3-4 years of relevant work experience in corporate finance, controlling, or data-driven reporting roles
• Tech savvy to work with high amount of data with tools and applications (Netsuite, Anaplan, Tableau, Excel, G-Suite, Lucanet) and continuous process improvements
• Experienced in, or demonstrably capable of owning, ESG reporting and its regulatory requirements
• Organised and detail-oriented, with a passion for number crunching and data quality across both financial and non-financial datasets
• A strong communicator, able to convey both financial and ESG concepts clearly and to work cross-functionally
